Over the weekend, Emmy Kosgei left her mum, Dr Rose Koskei, in tears after she surprised her with a sleek ride.

Emmy's parents were awarded  honorary doctorate degrees for their commitment to preach the word of God for a period of 40 years.

Congratulating them, Emmy wrote,

"Celebrating dearest dad and mum on receiving honorary doctorate ! A very well deserved award !👩‍🎓👨‍🎓🔥🔥🔥🎊🎊🎉🎊🎉🎉40 years of #kingdomservice #communityservice

#congratulations🎉 !!!!"

Hon Daniel K Tuitoek who attended the thanksgiving ceremony over the weekend at Kelelwa village, wrote,

"I attended the Thanksgiving ceremony of Rev, Bishop Dr Emiritus Jackson Kipkemoi Kosgei of Worldwide Gospel Church and his wife Pastor Dr Rose Kosgei who were bestowed a Honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity at Breakthrough International University, a Theological and Bible College in Los Angeles, USA."

Adding,

"The degrees were conferred to them on Friday December 4, 2020 by the President of the International Advisory Board to the University Prof Susan Amiss in recognition of their over 40yrs of service and faithfulness to God and humanity."

He continued,

"This is in recognition of him and his wife's service to God, Service to community and Humanity over a period of years."

The bash was attended by the who is who from Rift Valley among them was also Dr Simon Kipchumba (HR Kabarak university), Bishop, Dr Chepkwony of full gospel church, Rev Berege of CFC church, Mark Sialo, Kiptum Binnot alias Nyalosi among others.

During the thanksgiving ceremony, Emmy awarded her mum a sleek white Nissan.
