This man must have gone through a lot for him to decided to take his life by having himself electrocuted in Eldoret town.

According to an eyewitness, this man climbed up the post and hang on an electricity line waiting to die, fortunately, or, unfortunately, there was no electricity in the area, so his mission failed.

From the video, it looks like he still wanted to hang around and wait for the electricity, but a few brave area residents risked their lives to save him from killing himself.

According to section 226 of the Kenyan Penal code,“Any person who attempts to kill himself is guilty of a misdemeanor” and section 225 of the same on aiding suicide states “Any person who-

1. Procures another to kill himself;or
2. counsels another to kill himself and thereby induces him to do so;or
3. Aids another in killing himself 

is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for life.”
