A while ago, Elani came forward to express concern at how MCSK was handling the issuance of royalties owed to musicians. And the person they held personally responsible for the mess was one Maurice Okoth. Whether or not he was involved, their feeling was that as the man in charge, he should be held accountable.

To articulate their grievances the trio came up with a three-step campaign to get Kenyans to rally behind them as they sought answers from MCSK.

On his part, Maurice Okoth said the following during an interview with Mpasho

It would seem the flame they sparked has been burning ever since and it has finally claimed the very first victim, the CEO of MCSK, Maurice Okoth. Or perhaps it is the other matter currently in the courts of law:
