Award winning Kenyan author Binyavanga Wainaina always speaks his mind. He outed himself to Kenyans. And most recently he announced that he is HIV positive. Something that should be lauded. It is a brave move.

Binyavanga was also involved a nasty altercation with a cabbie in Europe, he posted his traumatic experience and as usual he got an apology.

Now, Nation Media house seems to have upset him with their coverage of the author. The media house published a story about his HIV confession and it seems like Binyavanga did not like the photo they used with the story.

This photo says everything about the nation and its coverage of me.THEY asked me to run the essay in January with them, but am already reconsidering.I do not want to be published anywhere that beastialises me. If you want to be a successful homosexual, you have to learn to live without these institutions. As far as am concerned The NATION can go fuck themselves. they are not doing me any favors.. Am giving them nothing.
