East African celebrities who lie about their ages and the age we think they truly are

There are several female celebrities in East Africa who are known to lie about their age. The most prolific example of this would be Vera Sidika who for three years running insisted she was 25 years old.

But though she might be the most visible among her peers, Vera is not the only one that lies about her age. Not by a long shot. There are others still, who first started lying about their age before eventually just keeping quiet about the whole issue.

So I decided to compile a list of the celebrities who have been lying about their age and to take a wild guess as to just how old they really are. Check it out and be sure to share it with your pals if it tickles your funny bone.

And just to clear up any misconceptions there may be, aye, I am being petty.

Vera Sidika

Vera was 25 for three whole years! No, really, let that sink in. And no amount of botox could hide age; not that she's had any -yet.

The only problem with her lies is when the makeup comes off, they catch up with her faster than Usain Bolt would!

She is probably 35.

Sheila Mwanyigha

For the longest time, her age was reported to be 32. When she dumped her muzungu for Prezzo, she was 32. When Prezzo dumped her, she was 32. When she was retrenched by NTV, she was 32.

She is probably 45. And that is a conservative estimate.

Zari Hassan

Now, this is the grand pubba of falsifying her age. She allowed rumours to persist about how young she is. But when she no longer needed those rumours as .

Zari is probably 45. You can bet the house!

I tell you! We live in a generation whose beauty is "mud deep". It is caked on women's faces every morning and peeled off every night lest their skin breaks out.
