Nigerians are known for their love of the flashy life. From cars to houses to their clothes, they don’t play around. They are known as Africa’s purveyors and buyers of the high-end lifestyle. On Lagos’ more upscale Victoria Island, brands including Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo, Balenciaga, and newcomers such as Les Petits Joueurs and Giannico, are sold.
So they clearly have a market for the good things in life which are sadly very expensive. Meet Nigerian national, Obi Okeke aka Doctor Bugatti who sold Floyd Mayweather a similar a bughatti.
Obi Okeke, has reportedly bought Arnold Schwarzenegger’ Bugatti Veyron for about $2.5 million (about Kenya shillings 255 million!). That is enough money to buy a plot in areas like Karen or Kileleshwa!
According to TMZ, Okeke plans to resell the sports car.
On January 3, 2018, Mr. Okeke posted a picture of the Bugatti on his Facebook page, thanking the Hollywood actor for the car.
“The Art of the deal can be somewhat challenging. Who do you call based on who calls you? How do you navigate when there is no map. How do you close on a deal when there is no deal. There are four defined groups of salespeople. 1. Deal Makers, 2. Deal Breakers, 3. Deal Takers, & 4. Deal Creators. The latter is where I choose to reside. !!! Thank You Arnold. I appreciate it. ,,,,”
Are these worthy goals for the Kenyan layman or just dream material?
