DP William Ruto has been jokingly referred to as 'hustler' by Kenyan youth since he became Uhuru's "junior" in the government. He has clearly come a long way to where he is today. He was mentored by former President Moi during the KANU era and he has definitely used the skills gained to be who he is today.

DP William Ruto was at KEMU varsity for the Meru County International Investment Conference yesterday when he revealed what else he has interest in, other than politics. He said that he would love to invest in chicken farming in additional to his business in the hotel industry.

"I have a very special relationship with chicken and hotels and we cannot import chicken. Investors are not necessarily rich, white or foreign," Ruto said. The Star reports that the DP highlighted on the fact that Kenya is one of the best countries to invest in, Africa-wide.

“I ask investors to take advantage of the conducive environment we have in this county to harness business opportunities existing here,” the former Kapsabet Boys student said.

Ruto recently confessed to be the owner of Weston Hotel in Langata, a hotel he has for long disowned following the land grabbing scandal that saw Langata Primary Students tear-gassed.
