The family of a 19-year-old girl who is a student at Thika Garrison Secondary School is in a quagmire after the teenager left behind chilling suicide notes before she went missing.

eDaily reports that Margaret Muthoni who disappeared suddenly on March 16, 2017 wrote two suicide notes, one addressed to his family members and the other to his siblings.

Ruth Gathoni, the girl's mother,  discovered the notes in her daughter's bag on Saturday, March 18 before she left for work.

In one of the heartbreaking notes, Muthoni said she has never had peace in her heart since her father died, adding that she decided to go and meet him.

"From the time my father died, I have never had peace in my heart. We have gone through a lot of things - both and and good. (I know it will be painful) but let me go and meet my father. My siblings I leave you behind in peace," it reads in part.

She also asked her family members not to cry at her funeral saying that they will make her not to rest in peace.

"May you live in peace, and one day, one time, help our mother. Ian and Winnie live in peace. Do not weep on my burial day because you will make my soul not to rest in peace. I am waiting for you in heaven. Give out all my clothes to my sister. Good bye."

In the second letter, Muthoni asked his brother and twin sister to have the heart of caring and helping adding nobody had pushed her to end her life.

“It is my decision (to end my life). I had good dreams but now, henceforth, I won’t be there. Stay in love, peace unity and harmony. Have the heart of caring and helping. I love everyone in our family,” she added.

The student had been suspended from Thika Garrison Secondary School on October 27, 2016 for wearing a hair extension in contravention of the school's rules.

The principal, Ms Elizabeth Nyambura, had asked her to report after two weeks but she has never seen her again.

The matter has been reported at Makongeni Police Station and her mother has to appealed to anyone with information that can help them find her to come forward.
