A bride has been slammed online after asking if it 'would be wrong' to replace her maid of honor if she doesn't fit in her dress - just three weeks after giving birth.

The woman, explained that her friend hadn't lost the baby weight and 'still looks pregnant' with only three more weeks before her big day.

She explained how the bridesmaid's dress had already been 'altered multiple times' and there was no way that she'd let the new-mother wear a 'back up dress.'

When the bride-to-be's question was shared on a Facebook group, hundreds of people commented with some saying she was 'the worst friend in the world.'

The bride's full post said:

'So my friend who is my maid of honor in my wedding recently gave birth and she hasn't lost the baby weight. I know it's not an easy thing to do an all but it's been like 3 weeks already and she still looks pregnant. She still has like a little over three weeks to lose the weight, but I'm not confident she will. She may not even fit her dress. I refuse to have it altered again. It was already altered multiple times for her and she said she'd fit into it.My question is if on the day of the wedding she doesn't fit the dress would it be wrong to have someone else take her place? I have someone in mind. She said she has a back up dress and I'm saying hell no to that. I'm not fat shaming but come on. My wedding is only one day and I'm not having it ruined by her or her baby weight.

Several people were so shocked with the bride's comments that they labeled her 'the worst friend in the world.'

One person commented on the post and said: 'The fat shaming is HORRIBLE. But also, your bridesmaids are supposed to be the people you love standing with you, not mannequins for photos.

Someone else said: 'What an a*****e. I feel bad for her friend and future husband.'

While another person added: 'Imagine thinking that someone's baby fat will ruin your wedding.'

Some women responded to the post saying they're still struggling to lose their baby weight, years after giving birth.

One person said: 'Hell its been 18 years since my last baby and I'm still struggling with that baby weight.'

And another mom wrote: 'At 6 weeks postpartum I was JUST getting out of the house for the first time and everything was overwhelming still and my body was still weird.'
