Legendary Kenyan comedian Churchill has told the top admins of this country not to attend his upcoming grand show, which will mark his 40th birthday.
The comedian will be hosting his big show at KICC today from 6PM. According to Nairobi News, the Churchill Live founder and radio personality had a very valid reason.
“Uhunye (Uhuru) wanted to attend but I asked him not to and explained why. The same case was with Rao (Raila).”
This is unusual putting into consideration the fact that the who is who in the Kenyan showbiz industry, top entrepreneurs, dignitaries and other public figures will be gracing the show.
“With the situation still volatile in the country and as things seems to be, my event won’t be an ideal place for them because they will steal my moment,” he told the publication.
Churchill is one of the pioneers of the comedy industry in Kenya and has been credited with giving rise to a new generation of entertainers, including Eric Omondi and Chipukeezy.
