Musician Akothee recently shared her heartbreaking story about losing her unborn twins in a candid interview with Mpasho.

For those not in the know, the "Yuko Moyoni" singer fell sick on August 30 last year while in Geneva, Switzerland. Reports indicate that she had gone to the country to visit her fiancé.

Akothee, who was expecting twins at the time, was rushed to a hospital in Geneva where doctors told her that they could not feel the heartbeat of one of her babies.

A few hours later, she broke the sad news of her miscarriage on her social media accounts and penned a touching message to her unborn twins.

"My heart is heavy as I was getting more comfortable walking with you around, I had lots of dreams and imaginations on how pink & blue would look like, I'm very sorry that we didn’t meet here on earth, but I believe we shall see each other somewhere soon, thanks for your prayers and support family it is well with my soul," her post read in part.

We recently sat down with Akothee for an interview where we asked her whether she has healed from the loss of her and if it was a publicity stunt as some quarters claim.

The singer told us that is not the first pregnancy she has ever lost adding that at one point she lost her pregnancy and "one of her wombs."

According to Akothee, that was the biggest loss because she almost lost her life. The death of her unborn twins can't be compared to her past losses.

She said that she was visiting Geneva with her children and on her way back, she collapsed only to find herself in hospital the next morning with the sad news that the twins had died.

Watch the video below to find out what she had to say when this writer asked her if the pregnancy was a publicity stunt.
