DJ Euphoric has thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta for believing in him even when people around him rejected him due to his disability.

This he shared after the President helped push his wheel chair and offered him tea at State House.

'So after the party My Good friend The president of the republic of Kenya His excellence hon.

UHURU KENYATTA said HE WILL PUSH ME UP TO HIS STATE HOUSE OFFICE TO HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE AS WE HAVE A GOOD CHAT.

thanks so much Mr president for always believing in me after wengi kunireject.'

For those who might not know Euphoic is the first disabled DJ. He has worked with brands such as Safaricom and is a house hold name.

He lost use of his limbs after polio attacked him as a child.

Talking about his experience in the past he says

'ONE DAY, WHEN I WAS 15, IN 2005, I JUST WOKE UP WITH PAIN ON MY JOINTS. AT THE HOSPITAL THEY COULDN’T FIGURE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME.

AT FIRST, THEY SAID IT WAS A KIND OF FEVER, BUT COULDN’T EXPLAIN WHY I HAD WOUNDS ON MY JOINTS.

I WAS IN KENYATTA NATIONAL HOSPITAL FOR ALMOST FOUR MONTHS AND THEY TRIED EVERYTHING THEY KNEW.'

Adding that

AFTER ABOUT A YEAR OF MISDIAGNOSIS, THEY EVENTUALLY DISCOVERED THAT I HAD A DEGENERATIVE JOINT DISEASE THAT COULDN’T BE CURED.

AT THAT POINT I BEGAN PHYSIOTHERAPY AND ADJUSTING TO LIFE ON A WHEEL CHAIR. IT WAS VERY TOUGH FOR ME.

Well Uhuru gave Euphoric his time, effort and most probably more things than we will ever know.
