Events following the collapsing of a residential flat in Nairobi's Huruma estate last week were absolutely disheartening. At least 51 lives were lost in the tragedy, while scores of other people were left nursing injuries. Others have been recorded as missing.

Worth noting is the way the whole issue was handled, especially by the government. Many questions have been left unanswered but people are still yearning for answers. Families have been left in pain, with sorrow and grief spread all over Kenya.

But did we hear the government declare a day of mourning for the departed souls? Nope. Natsing. Zero. Nyet. Did we call for a #WeAreOne fund-raising platform to help the affected families? Nope. Again, No. Neither did we fly our flag at half mast for the same. 51 lives of poor people, who used to live to a badly-constructed 198-roomed flat, just lost in a flash! And we didn't make noise about it? Pathetic!

This is the same thing paining and troubling gospel music spin-master DJ Krowbar. He took to Facebook where he spoke with anger about the hypocrisy among fellow Kenyans and the CHURCH.

"We fund raised for Westgate. Held services for Westgate victims. Had moments of silent for them. A week later Huruma victims are still waiting for their moment of silence. Or for the victims to get blankets and donations sent to them. Where is the church? And we say we are all equal. Only in God's eyes." - DJ Krowbar.
