Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani who is signed to Nigerian record label, Chocolate City has thrown some serious shade at socialite Huddah Monroe. This fight will be bloody.

Victoria has finally released her first Swahili song, Gota, off her soon to be released album, Safari. But in the first verse, it sounds as if the singer has taken off her kid gloves and has gone in on Huddah in a major way. Savage. Pure savagery.

Gota premiered on Kiss FM three days ago and and received positive reviews from listeners who called in and sent messages of support on social media.

Victoria who recently released All The Way featuring Khuli Chana says, “I am excited about this song because of the energy and passion with which it was made. I know it is something my fans across Africa will be proud of”

The singer who has been influenced by Nigerian, Kenya and American cultural influences just concluded recording her first ever album which is due to be released before the end of the year. The album, Safari, lends credence to her image as a wholly pan-African artiste with a global sound who is proud of her African roots.

Her new single contributes to that sound. Gota's first verse opens up by slamming Huddah.

In part, the verse goes:

“Ujue natoka mbali /Victoria Kimani nani /wanajua mi ni nani/…sihanyi mabuda/ mimi sio Huddah… (Know that I have come so far, Victoria Kimani, they know who I am, I don’t go after old men, I’m not Huddah...”

Huddah is yet to respond to Victoria on the lyrical accusations. After all she recently unveiled the man in her life.

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “Love is a very beautiful thing, been guarding my heart for too long because everything I do flows from it plus I’m scared of getting hurt. But I guess this is it, he got me feeling some type of way. Nimeingia na miguu zote mbili.”
