Diamond Platnumz has spoken about how important health care is in a country. This is after his mother got a stroke.

Tomorrow his fellow citizens are going to the polls for their general elections. Speaking on Wasafi FM with Lil Ommy, Diamond revealed,

"No one knows this, back in 2013 my mum had a stroke. She was paralysed. At the time no one knew. This was back before Tiffah was born."

Adding,

"I was confused at first. She could not talk, she could not walk and the medical bills were huge. the bills paid to the point where you see mama Dangote haile and hearty as  she is now, were not easy."

Diamond continued explaining,

"I Traveled with her to Indian for medical attention we were there for a month. and Being mama naseeb she travelled VIP all the way. We travelled 4 people, Salaam, myself, my aunt and mama Dangote."

Diamond noted,

"I posted a photo in Indian and no one knew what I was doing there or going through. The bills accrued from that were monumental. were it not for the music I was doing, I do not know what would have happened. I did not have a medical cover."

He continued,

I would like to thank Clouds media CEO Joe who helped me pay for the air ticket to Indian because the bills were too high. I would travel and come back, severally due to music engagements. It was so bad I couldn't afford the air ticket. that is where he stepped in and paid. That is why it is important that the government has provided a medical scheme that covered everyone.
