Seasoned Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz is conspicuously the only East African music artiste to get the nod on streaming service Apple Music’s playlist – Africa To The World.

The playlist is a diverse collection of sounds from the motherland’s music giants and other emerging artistes, with a considerable of them stemming from Nigeria and South Africa.

Apple music disclosed that the playlist is their investment in African music and a means to avail the sound to the world.

It also puts together exclusive interviews with Africa’s top artistes including Davido, Nasty C, Mr Eazi, Cassper Nyovest et al.

This is Diamond’s second noticeable win this year after his song Hallelujah got the nod to feature on Rhythms of Zamunda, a soundtrack put together for a film; Coming 2 America.
