I am not really a fan of Kenyan football outside of AFC Leopards and to be honest, that is because of my ethnic persuasion. But one person whom I do know from the cluttered universe of Kenyan football is Jaro Soja.

He would be what can only be described as a superfan. And his team of choice is Gor Mahia, a team whose fans have been accused time and again of being hooligans. Is this true about most Gor Mahia fans? No. That is a blanket statement but the way assumptions are structured; the few rotten apples spoil for the many good ones.

Reports have it that earlier today, Jaro Soja was arrested and taken to Lang'ata Police Station over alleged assault charges.

The Nairobi area police commandant Koome said he was not aware of what was going on.
