Wanjiku Mburu - popularly known as Mama Baha in Citizen TV's drama Machachari - is one of the most respected local actresses in Kenya.

From humble beginnings in Kajiado County, the lass who is simply known as Shiks to her family and close friends, has risen to become a household name over the years.

Before we started seeing her in our living rooms, Wanjiku had to go endure a lot to hone her acting skills.

She says her love for acting developed at the tender age of 7 and was forced to ditch the cabin crew course she was pursuing in college for an acting career at the Kenya National Theatre.

Wanjiku knows to well that when you work hard, you have to play even harder. As such, she does not spare a coin when it comes to rewarding herself for the all the work she has been doing.

A few hours ago, she posted a photo of her car which some would say is very modest for someone of her stature but all that matters is that it meets her needs.

She joins the long list long of celebrities who have customized rides as the Toyota Vitz car has the name 'Shix' engraved on it.
