Kenyan Linda Gatere, the country's reigning Miss Earth Kenya 2015 is currently in Vienna, Austria representing the country in the world finals on 5 December. The annual beauty pageant promotes environmental awareness. She has been engaging in several activities so far. Despite the temperatures being low - highs of 7 and lows of 4 - she is doing well.

The beauty queen is a student at Kenyatta University, just like the reigning Miss World Kenya Charity Mwangi and former title holder Idah Nguma. She is a passionate radio presenter and commercial model. Linda comes across as intelligent and soft spoken.

The beauty queens have toured Vienna and taken part in the gown competition. If she wins the title, she will spend 2 years with Carousel Production in the Philippines. It is the organization that currently runs Miss Earth and Miss Earth Philippines beauty pageants.

Her colleague, Miss Kenya International recently won the at the pageant's finals in Japan.
