Maribe was seen in public was a few weekends back when she landed in a chopper at MP Naisula Lesuuda’s wedding in Samburu.

Her fashion choice for the big day, portrayed a more demure and subdued side of the news anchor. She was accompanied by controversial MP, Moses Kuria.

But in a recent application filed in the court, Jacque is far from coy, she has called for the state prosecutor Catherine Mwaniki to be disqualified from prosecuting her murder case.

Meanwhile, Dennis Itumbi took to his social media to echo the same sentiments.

My friend Jacque Maribe is back in court tomorrow (November 27). Very sad that the prosecution has yet to provide her with witness statements or even access to her house to pick her clothes and those of her son.

Itumbi continued, “That is despite clear court orders last month. Justice should be done and seen to be done at all times.”

Taunting the prosecutors, Itumbi concluded his post saying, “But then again the Prosecution, it seems are a law to themselves, they operate on their own orders and disobey the ones they want as they wish, in street Lingua….mtadooooo?”

Jacque has addressed a pertinent issue that she is going through. In a case filed in court through her lawyer, Katwa Kigen, Jacque says she has not been supplied with documents and material that will be used in the murder case against her and her then-fiance Joseph ‘Jowie’ Irungu.

She also wants the state to surrender back her house and car that are still being held by the police.

THAT the Respondents jointly and or severally handover to the Applicant her house, the rental house situated at Royal Park, Langata Estate Nairobi within 24 hours of the court’s orders, taken over and held exclusively by the DCI and DPP since 22nd September 2018

Through lawyer Katwa Kigen, Jacque further wants the DPP to be held in contempt of court for failing to supply her with the documents and witness statements after the deadline set by the court.

DPP AND HIS LEAD REPRESENTATIVE IN THE PROCEEDINGS BE JOINTLY AND SEVERALLY HELD IN CONTEMPT OF COURT MADE ON NOVEMBER 30

The case will be heard later today.
