Turn up nights in Nairobi is a whole movie scene.

From the time one gets into the club, there is a character you will meet that will either shock you, irritate you or excite you.

Well, if you're a weekly club goer, you will definitely relate to these guys and if you're not, be ready to face all of these in one night.

  1. The bouncer mwenye ako sura ngumu they doesn't even smile

These bouncers are always thirsty for some money. They give you that look that scares you before he even searches you. Kwanza if you find those who ask for your ID when all your friends are in the club, they stress you.

They push customers away until you give him or her some good money. Mostly male bouncers.

2. The waiter who runs after you when you get to the club

Once you are done with that bouncer, you will meet a waiter who will follow you to your table especially if there are offers. These guys survive on commission so the more customers, the merrier.

3. The guys who have one bottle of beer the whole night

When you sit down you'll meet that guy who is drinking a beer alone bila hata glass just nodding his head. Most of the time they are perceived as thieves. Either way stay away from him.

4. The guys who are just men on the table with caps and IPhones

These men are mostly from Langata, the cheers baba guys. They act like they own the club thinking they're the hottest men alive.

You will not see them with a girl because they look unapproachable, but you can tell they want some female company. Most of them have Jack Daniels on the table or Black Label.

5. Ladies with cocktails or a beer waiting for a sponsor to come through

These are mostly sex workers. When they leave the house, their budget for drinks is one beer bottle or a glass of wine. The rest of the night the man should pay for drinks and the happy hour service, if you know what I mean.

6. Ladies who understand their shit and have bottles on their table

These girls usually just want a good night out. No men but just dancing and screaming. Such nights they end up s**t faced because there is nothing to stop them. Most times they have saved a lot of money for that night and since they are cost sharing, it becomes much cheaper for them.

7. The squad that comes for a good night high and changa for one botti.

Mostly first-time club goers, they go get drunk on cheap liquor outside then come to the club drunk and then changa for a mzinga. They are almost 7 guys so the cost is quite cheap. They are the ones who fight in clubs and cause commotions.

8. The guy who tells everyone apewe then when its paying time ngori

Most guys who take their birthday to the club, are the ones who suffer from this. A guy has set a standard in the estate or office so lazima aangushe. The worst part is, they can not afford the bill at the end of the night. A waiters worst nightmare.

9. DJ that replays songs

They are the most annoying people you'll find in a club. You dance to kwangwaru at 11 pm and at 1 am. How drunk do they think guys are?
