2016 has been a bad year this far. We have lost many prominent people. From the former first lady Lucy Kibaki to former minister Soita Shitanda to activist Jacob Juma many have been left wondering whether 2016 is the new August (the "cursed" month).

Grief has engulfed Kisumu city after the passing on of a popular waitress identified as Betty at one of the famous entertainment establishments.

It's not clear whether Betty was sick or not, but her friends took to social media to announce her sudden demise which followed by messages of condolences from those who knew her; those who frequent the club.
