In a weird turn of events, the ex-husband of Faith Wangui, a mother of two who was on Saturday evening found brutally murdered and her body dumped in Menengai Forest, has reportedly committed suicide.

Faith was last seen with her ex, Joseph Muchiri, she even told a childhood friend that she is hanging out with him for that evening.

The two were estranged.

Faith's badly mutilated body showed brutal wounds, her left hand and breast had been chopped off, and her face doused in what is suspected to be acid.

The body was found by herdsmen. The body is at Nakuru Municipal mortuary where post-mortem indicated that she was strangled to death.

Four days later, Faith's ex-husband is found dangling from a tree in Mau Narok, in what looks like a suicide.

Confirming the incident, Nakuru County Commander Stephen Matu said that a suicide note was found in Muchiri's trouser pocket in which he allegedly cited the reason for taking his own life as being accused of killing Faith.

Muchiri, in the note, further stated that he was afraid of being apprehended and tortured by authorities over the murder of his estranged wife.

In the letter, Muchiri penned his last ever thoughts before he left this world.

He wrote, "I cannot withstand losing my precious wife. I am being blamed for her death. Let me now follow her!"

His body has since been transferred to the Nakuru Level Five Hospital mortuary.
