The last moments of football darling Kevin Oliech have been shared by his BFF David Etale.

The two were inseparable. One of Kevin's last posts were of the two of them at a concert in Germany.

This was back in February 2020.

After the passing of Kevin on Sunday evening, David has posted a moving tribute.

"To my brother kevin. I didn’t know that this would be our last captured moments. I don’t even know where to start there is so much I want to say but I don’t think I will ever manage to say all in one day. Yesterday I couldn’t even do anything but cry, my body was numb as I saw you lie so peacefully.

One thing I know is our brotherhood will forever be in my heart until we meet again brother. We’ve come a long way brother we did so much together over the years. From the day you got diagnosed with cancer I promised you that I will always be by your side, I made trips to Berlin, Germany just to see you when you were going through all the chemotherapy sessions.

We shared amazing memories together and those memories shall forever be with me. I know deep down if I was in your position you would have done the same for me. Last week when I drove for 16 hours and 40 mins from the UK to be with you in Berlin it never crossed my mind that I would be at your bedside until your last breath that is something that will stick with me forever.

I saw how you were struggling with pain everyday, even when you were weak you still showed a brave face. We went for a drive around Berlin listening to our favourite reggae tune Come Down Father by Beres Hammond and all you did was smile, even when you took your last breath Ken placed the phone beside your ear played the song as you laid peacefully and your face glowed with a smile that’s what I will always remember. For the past week we had deep conversations about life and despite your pain you still tried to be positive.

You told me that if one day am to talk to people about you I should tell them how you were full of life and that’s exactly what I will do bro. Kevin you are a warrior and you fought until the end. I love you so much brother. Rest In Peace."
