People of Kabete constituency have lost their legislator George Muchai who was assassinated today in the morning together with his bodyguards and driver.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has mourned the Kabete MP, and has also ordered police to make sure the assassins are brought to book.

I am deeply shocked and saddened by the killing, in cold blood, of Kabete Member of Parliament, Hon. George Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver early this morning.A humble and diligent gentleman, the late Hon. Muchai was a true servant of the people and his death is a huge loss not only to his family and the people of Kabete Constituency who he served with dedication but to the entire nation.Investigations are already underway and I expect the Police to mobilize all resources to ensure the criminals who murdered Hon. Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver are speedily apprehended and made to pay for their heinous act according to the law.
