Director of Criminals Investigations Mohamed Amin is Monday expected to address the nation following the arrest of the prime suspect in the murder of women in Kware, Mukuru Slums, Nairobi.

The address set to be made from the DCI headquarters will update the nation on why the police believe the arrested suspect could have played a role in the murder.

DCI boss Amin is also expected to unpack how the suspect was arrested and give a status update on investigations that have been ongoing since the discovery.

  • The discovery began after a woman whose Kin had been missing had a dream to go search the area.
  • Nine bodies were discovered on Friday, 12/7/2024.
  • Five more bags were discovered on Saturday 13/7/2024
  • Two of the 5 bags were ascertained to contain trash dog carcasses.
  • The dismembered bodies were taken to the City Mortuary.
  • A suspect was arrested on Monday 15/7/2024 in Kayole.
  • He  was arrested after the police trailed money withdrawn from the latest victims of the murder.
  • As of Sunday 14/7/2024, two bodies had been identified.
  • Victims are between 18 and 30 according to the police.
  • All the victims are women.
  • An autopsy is planned on the bodies at the City Mortuary on Monday, July 15 Police are investigating whether the murders are cult related.
