The spouse of the Obwolo Secondary School educator, who was tragically killed last week, has succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Onyango Junior, the assistant chief of Kajimbo sub-location, verified the man's demise.

Following the discovery of his wife's body wrapped in a mat behind their house, the man had been assaulted by a mob, leading to his admission to the ICU.

He remained in ICU from January 22 until his passing.

The Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers has been advocating for justice in response to the high school teacher's murder.

The deceased, a 33-year-old, was allegedly killed by her husband in Nyakach last week.

Zablon Awange, the executive secretary of the Kisumu Branch, condemned the incident, emphasizing the necessity for a thorough investigation.

Darwin Orina, the Upper Nyakach assistant county commissioner, previously stated that the police had initiated investigations into the matter.
