How different celebs have reacted to shocking Airbnb murders

• There has been an ongoing debate on what the country should do in light of the murders that have taken place in the Airbnbs.

The discovery of a second woman murdered and dismembered in an Airbnb has sent shockwaves around the country.

The incident comes barely a week after socialite Starlet Wahu was found murdered in an apartment in South B, leading to the arrest of a man she had checked in with identified as John Matara.

This past weekend another woman’s body was found in an Airbnb in Roysambu.

The incident was reported by a property manager of the guest house who alerted police on the discovery of blood-stained bedsheets on the staircase.

Police later found the woman’s body stashed in polythene bags suggesting the killer may have tried to dispose it off.

Jimmy Kimari, the head of Kasarani Divisional Criminal Investigations says investigations are underway to trace the man who was with the woman.

The incident comes barely a week after socialite Starlet Wahu was found murdered in an Airbnb in South B, which led to an outcry and the eventual arrest of a man she had checked in with identified as John Matara.

Mr. Matara's life on dating apps to his High School history has been unraveled with Kenyans able to identify his actions.

Matara is under investigation for possible involvement in serial killings targeting women who have come forward with verifying accounts of how he almost killed them.

She protested saying;

"Tf...ai what's going on...post after post after post," she weighed in upset.

The former BBC journalist speaks out a lot about topical stories happening in Kenya. For the second murder, she decried the rise in incidence saying

"STOP KILLING WOMEN," she penned.

Tiktoker and content creator I Am Kabugi also protested;

"Hizi Airbnb zinataka anytime mtu aana toksa hata kama anaenda anaconfirm watu wote waliingia wako kwa nyumba na wako uhai. Kama hawana mavazi wachungulie kwa dirisha because what is this," he shared a sad crying face emoji.

Kate Actress penned her outrage,

"FEMICIDE ! Call it as it is. I thank you @bintishiro."

Adding

"No, men should stop murdering women. It's that simple, imagine." She also shared another man's comment that shouted, "Airbnbs should be banned."
