A family in Umande, Laikipia County has been left in shock after discovering the lifeless body of their 75-year-old grandmother.
Agata Muthoni's body was discovered by her grandson after she missed going to church.
This is something she would never do under normal circumstances.
According to her grandson, The house had been ransacked and all important documents taken.
The last person to have talked to the deceased was her grandson.
Her grandson had talked to her on Friday. Whereas her daughter talked to her on Saturday.
On Sunday is when the family started getting concerned after all the calls to Agata went unanswered.
The lifeless body was found by her grandson Fredrick Wachira.
Agata succumbed to a stab wound and a hit on the back of her head by unknown people who had broken into her house .
The incident was reported at Umande police station for further investigation as the family seeks justice .
Her body is at Nanyuki mortuary and Post mortem to be carried out on Monday 15 August 2023.
Burial plans are ongoing .
The deceased will be laid on Wednesday the 17 August 2023 in Nyeri County ,Gatitu ward.
