A 71-year-old man has been accused along with his son have been accused of collaborating to bite a woman's nose.
According to Punch magazine in Nigeria, Clifford Udouko and his son Ekomen were brought before the Ota Court in Ogun on Tuesday morning for allegedly biting a woman on the nose.
According to the statement, the Police charged the defendants, whose addresses were not released, with assault, conspiracy, and a breach of peace. However, the defendants denied the charge.
The prosecuting attorney told the court that the defendants and others in general, committed the offense on June 5 around 4.50 pm.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendants attacked and ripped off the nose of the complainant, Daramola Olawunmi.
He said the defendants also behaved in a way that could cause a breach of peace by using offensive language.
The prosecutor said the offense violates the provisions of the constitution of the nation with the largest population in Africa.
However, the judge allowed the defendants to be released on bail in the sum of N200,000 which is equivalent to 42 thousand Kenyan shillings, each with one surety in the same sum.
He adjourned the case to July 24 for further hearing.
