Ngong police in Kajiado County are investigating a homicide case where a 19-year-old suspect stabbed to death his 24-year-old customer on Friday morning.

The incident occurred in Ngong’s Mathare area at 3 am when the deceased bought Chapati and cooked beans at the cost of Sh60.

After eating the food, an argument erupted between the two and moments later escalated into full-blown fighting.

Eyewitnesses said the hotel man took a knife and stabbed the customer twice in the chest killing him instantly.

After the incident, revelers from a nearby bar descended on the assailant and beat him senselessly before looting everything from the hotel.

Kajiado North sub-county police commander Abduba Hussein confirmed the incident and said the assailant was taken to the Kajiado referral hospital after the beating.

“We are investigating the matter to establish the cause of the fight. We moved the young man’s body to the City Mortuary at 4 am,” said Hussein.
