Police are investigating the murder of a woman whose body was found wrapped in a suitcase and dumped outside a residential house eat Kamakis in Ruiru, Kiambu County.
Another team is investigating the discovery of a torsoless human leg at that was found floating in the Nairobi river in Korogocho slums.
The incident at Kamakis was discovered by locals who noticed the suitcase placed at the entrance of the residence.
The suitcase had been stuffed in a sack when the body was found Tuesday afternoon.
Police said they were called to the scene and informed of the discovery before picking it to the mortuary.
The police asked for a bed sheet from one of the tenants there to cover the badly mutilated body as they processed the scene.
On checking they realized the woman had an injury on the head and was half naked.
The body was stuffed into the suitcase wholly and sent to the scene where it was discovered.
Police said they are yet to identify the woman.
She did not have identification documents then.
The body seemed fresh, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and identification.
Police have appealed to anyone whose relative or friend is missing to report to the local police station for investigation.
In Korogocho, locals stumbled on human legs without a torso and head.
The leg seemed to have been swept to the scene and efforts to identify it are ongoing.
On Saturday, chopped human body parts were discovered in Kayole stuffed in a sack.
Police say they are yet to identify the man and make an arrest. The deceased was killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the scene.
