A man who allegedly sodomised his son and later apologised to his wife has been charged with incest.
PQ was charged before Kibera senior principal magistrate Phillip Mutua where he denied the charges and pleaded for mercy.
The court heard that the accused person committed the offence on February 1 in Riruta. The boy is six years old, the court heard.
The accused person also denied the second count of committing an indecent act with the child contrary to the Sexual Offences Act.
The court heard that the victim’s mother left him with the father and upon coming back, he found the child with walking difficulties.
She questioned the boy, who responded by explaining what the father had done. The mother then waited for the man to come back and when he came back, she confronted him about the mistake, which he felt sorry for.
The matter was reported to the police and the accused person was arrested and later arraigned. The accused person was released on a Sh500,000 bond with a surety of the same amount.
The court directed that the accused person be supplied with all the witness statements and documentary evidence that the prosecution wanted to rely on.
The case will proceed on February 22
