Two Ugandans stabbed to death in brawl over woman at Nairobi club

No arrest has been made so far and police say they are pursuing leads on their whereabouts.

Two middle-aged Ugandan nationals died in hospital after being stabbed in a fight over a woman on Juja Road, Nairobi.

Two others are nursing wounds at the Kenyatta National Hospital where they were moved to from MSF Mathare hospital.

Police said William Mukoli, 26, and Paul Kemaso aged 27 succumbed to stab wounds in the hospital on Monday.

They together with fellow Ugandans Simon Wasike and Paulo Hassan had been stabbed in the fight sustaining serious injuries.

Police said they are looking for a group of other Ugandans who stabbed the four.

Witnesses said the group was fighting over a woman.

They had been at a joint when an argument and fight broke out among the group leading to the multiple stabbings on Sunday.

The assailants are missing and efforts to get them are ongoing. The four were attended to a clinic in Mathare before being moved to the Kenyatta National Hospital where the two succumbed, police said.

They were in Nairobi for business and had gone to a joint that is usually filled with Ugandans, locals said.

Nairobi police boss James Mugera said they were called to the scene and informed of the stabbings before finding the victims in the hospital.

He added a team of detectives is pursuing the suspected assailants to get the motive of the incident.

He said he had not known the cause of the fight. The detectives will also interrogate those in the hospital.

Elsewhere, a middle-aged woman is nursing gunshot wounds after she was shot and injured in a clash between police and suspected thugs in Kasarani, Nairobi.

The woman was busy at her farm when fleeing thugs shot and wounded her in the shoulder.
