A suspected bank robber has been  shot and left injured on Tuesday as he attempted to rob an Equity Bank branch in Nairobi west  branch.

The suspect was armed and managed to stab three people :two BM security guards and a bank customer.

They were rushed to hospital with injuries .Still a surprise how the armed robber managed to attack the bank in broad daylight.

Security was up ,as Nairobi Regional Police Commander ,James Mugera ,noted that the man  rushed inside the bank and headed towards the bank manager’s office and demanded cash.

It was then that armed police officers  who were guarding the bank took immediate action.

They opened fire and shot him twice on the shoulder and stomach  bringing the attempted robbery incident to an end.

One guard is said to be in critical condition. Mugera says the suspect was rushed to Mbagathi Hospital.

Equity Bank has temporarily closed the branch, including the the road accessing the facility to allow investigations.

This is not the first time that equity bank is getting robbed and it seems a coincidence that their robbery cases only occurs on Tuesdays.

Relating to a case of their Ang'awa  branch in Kisumu  which was also an armed attacked target that ended in dramatic search for suspects.

what the police did during that incident is that they engaged the  suspected robbers for hours in a shootout following the robbery attempt .

It was alleged that the bank manager ,several staff members and some customers were on that deal.

The three group suspects were immediately held in police custody for questioning over the attempted heist.

That day  dramatic encounter began at around 11am when four suspected robbers were said to have raided the bank premises along Ang’awa Avenue.

It was reported that one of the suspects who had been cornered inside the bank hurled tear gas inside, which sent people in confusion and running for their dear lives.

Bank workers claimed that the four men entered the bank demanding cash from one of the cashiers.

The lady cashier raised the alarm, prompting the guard at the entrance to lock the bank.

Keenly ,it is like thieves use same tactics . isn't it?
