• An attendant at the hotel along River Road told police she heard a commotion from the room and went to check only to find the men running out with one bleeding.

He had been stabbed four times in the stomach in the fight.

Police are investigating an incident in which a man was stabbed and seriously wounded by two other men believed to be members of LGBTQ while in a lodging in the city centre.

Police say two men first booked a room in the lodging before they were joined by a third one.The third man told the receptionist at the joint he was joining his friends for a meeting in room 33.

While therein, a fight broke out among them before two descended on one stabbing him in the stomach and escaped.

An attendant at the hotel along River Road told police she heard a commotion from the room and went to check only to find the men running out with one bleeding.

He had been stabbed four times in the stomach in the fight.

But one of the men was later arrested as they tried to escape and told police they disagreed while therein on the way forward prompting the fight and stabbing.

Police said the injured man was taken to the hospital where he was treated and discharged. The suspect is expected to be taken to court to face various charges of causing bodily harm.

Police said they were looking for the second suspect for grilling to understand the reasons for the fighting.

Nairobi police boss James Mugera said he could not comment on the issue for now as it is under probe.
