A life was lost due to jealousy envy and emotional immaturity.

A former Vision Group journalist, Jasper Awio, who wrote for the media house's Luo publication, Rupiny, allegedly slit the throat of his ex-girlfriend, Monica Amongi in a jealous fit.

Jasper attacked Amongi after his attempts to win her back severally failed. He got even more incensed when she started her romantic journey with another man.

Monica was a sales manager at Bright Future-Superior Unique Manufacturer Of America (BF-SUMA).

The late Monicah in her last communication with members of the fourth estate said, "Go your way and I will go my way.”

She was addressing her on-off relationship with Jasper which was full of strife and drama. This was back in August 2021 at the height of their relationship drama.

In her other social media post, she also made some interesting observations about life that were very prophetic in nature.

In one post she wrote, "HALLO MY DEAR FRIENDS, Never ask, "Oh, why were things so much better in the old days?" It is not an intelligent question."

She added, "Ecc7:10 Think about what God has done. How can anyone straighten out what God has made crooked? Ecc7:13 When things are going well for you, be glad, and when trouble comes, just remember: God sends both happiness and trouble; you never know what is going to happen."

Monica's favourite quote also raises eyebrows, her quote points to her fateful ending and her making peace with it.

She wrote, "When things are going well for you be glad and when trouble comes, just remember: God sends both happiness and trouble; You never know what is going to happen next."

In another post, she encouraged her followers to "stop crying over yesterday and start smiling for tomorrow."

Her relationship with Jasper was a turbulent and even chaotic one after she dumped him and move on with her life.

She held on to positivity despite it all.

In one Facebook post, Monica said, "Don't let anything worry you or cause you pain. You aren't going to be young very long."

She noted, "Young people, enjoy your youth. Be happy while you are still young. Do what you want to do, and follow your heart's desire. BUT remember that God is going to judge you for whatever you do. ECCLESIASTES 11:9."
