Controversy and mystery surround the demolition of Deep West restaurant owned by businesswoman Joyce Akinyi.

She said goons raided the premises Saturday morning and brought it down in an attack and that she lost property worth Sh500 million.

Located in Nairobi West, a few meters off Langáta road, Deep West Resort is described as a three-star hotel with a restaurant, free private parking, a bar and a terrace.

Akinyi has been in controversy for long after her arrest and prosecution over narcotics claims.
