A man went berserk in the sprawling Karagita estate in Naivasha killing his wife through the knife before members of the public set on him leaving him for dead.

The flower farm worker stabbed the wife who also works in one of the farms five times following allegations of unfaithfulness in their one-year marriage.

The woman who is a flower farm worker died minutes after she was stabbed while the seriously injured man was admitted at Naivasha sub-county hospital in critical condition.

The two who had separated for the last one month had met in a relative’s house in the sprawling estate to resolve their differences when the man turned against the wife.

According to a witness Carol Njeri, the man had accused the wife of being involved in extra-curricular affairs with her colleagues.

She added that the woman who was previously married fell out with her former husband over a similar incident where she was stabbed and left for the dead.

“The woman’s history dates back to two years when she was stabbed several times over her behavior and the suspect went into hiding,” she said.

Wanjiru added that the woman got married last year but continued with her behavior leading to the second attack that left her dead.

“The man arrived on Thursday evening where the deceased was living with her sister and an argument ensued on Friday morning leading to her death,” she said.

Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed the incident adding that the suspect was in critical condition after he was attacked by members of the public.

“The body of the woman has been collected and taken to the local mortuary while the investigating officers have opened an inquest file following the incident,” he said.

The incident comes barely two weeks after a woman went berserk in Gilgil town and killed her three sons before taking her life following a fall-out with the husband.
