The officers have collected samples for a DNA tests after initial investigations indicated that the parts belong to the driver of a trailer that was later found dumped in Naivasha.
Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru said that they had collected samples from the driver’s kin with a view of establishing who the body parts belonged to.
He said that investigating officers had also arrested suspects who bought the 147 drums containing the bitumen that was en route from Mombasa to Eldoret.
“We have made several arrests and it’s a matter of time before we recover the stolen cargo and get all those behind this incident,” he said.
