Maina’s father Patrick Gicheru, told the Court that his son came home and found no food in the kitchen for him and that’s when he started causing chaos.
“My son came home and started demanding food," he said.
Adding, "He went to the kitchen and when he found out that there was no food."
The situation escalated further.
"He hurled the sufurias outside the kitchen and started using abusive language on me,” said Gicheru.
The Magistrate, while ordering that the accused be remanded for a further two days, noted that a social inquiry be conducted on the case before sentencing.
“According to the statements given by your father and your confession that you involved in assaulting your father, I found you guilty and you will be taken back to the cell as you await the Probation Officer for further directions,” said Macharia.
