Businessman's gun stolen from posh Kilimani apartment

Police are investigating an incident in which a licensed civilian firearm holder claims he was robbed of his gun in an incident in Kilimani area, Nairobi.

The businessman says he had locked his revolver pistol in a safe in their house along Jakaya Kikwete Road but came back and found it broken into and the weapon missing.

Police say they are investigating the claims with an intention of taking action on the businessman as they search for the pistol.

Such incidents have been on the increase amid calls for further vetting on those applying to possess the weapons.
