James Gakara, a Nakuru-based doctor suspected of killing his two children has died.
The suspect died while receiving treatment at the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital.
Last week, the doctor was found lying unconscious in his house, with his two children aged 5 and 3 years old dead.
According to a police report, there were drugs on the bedside table, hinting that the children might have been injected with insulin.
“The officers found the house locked from the inside, they had to break in and found the medic lying unconscious on his bed. The children’s bodies were in another bedroom,” Nakuru county police commander Kiraguri said.
Gakara was an obstetrician and gynaecologist, owner of Optimum Current Health Care Clinic along Kinuthia Mbugua Road.
