A prison warden - who is also the pastor at the African Divine Church in Kapsaet - committed suicide by blowing off his head.
The deceased was a constable at the Kapsabet G.K prison, he took his life on Friday 3, September 2021.
He is reported to have shot himself in the head using his firearm as he prepared at the changing room for a night handover.
According to sources within the prisons, the officer in his mid 40's left a suicide note at the changing room.
He lived a few kilometres away from the remand prisons.
Investigations are ongoing.
