Police have arrested six high school students with an assortment of hard drugs during a raid at their rented residence at Korando, Otonglo area in Kisumu West sub county.
The form three students from a mixed secondary school-aged between 17 - 19 years are said to have rented the house from where they reportedly engaged in criminal activities.
The officers working on a tip-off ambushed the hideout and found the student with bhang and illicit brews during the sting operations by officers from Kogony police post in collaboration with Korando Assistant Chief.
The report filed at Kogony police post OB NO:09/9/8/2021 at 3.50 pm indicated that the students had rented the house but it was not clear who was paying for the house.
Kisumu County Police Commander, Samuel Anampiu confirmed the arrest saying three and a half rolls of bang were found hidden under the table adding that the suspects will soon be arraigned in court.
Anampiu disclosed that whereas five of the students were aged 17 years, one of them, Tony Ochieng Okulo (19) could be charged alongside adult suspects.
He said the bang and illicit brew will be availed as exhibits in court tomorrow.
