A 13-year-boy from Funyula has committed suicide after losing Ksh 300 that he was given to buy books.
According to his grandfather, the grade 5 pupil named Oliver left home to buy the books but never got to the shop.
Oliver was accompanied by his friend to the shop but tricked him before disappearing.
"He was accompanied to the shop by his friend. But he told his friend to take the bicycle back home. When he went back, he did not find Oliver. We thought he had gone his home," Daniel Wanyama narrated.
After two days of searching for the boy, he was found dead on Wednesday.
"We found him hanging on a tree, using his belt," the grandfather explained.
