The High Court in Narok has ordered the probation department to produce a report of a man who was found guilty of killing a six-year-old girl by stabbing her in the neck two years ago.

Narok High court judge Justice Francis Gikonyo found William Kinoti guilty of manslaughter after he pleaded guilty to the charges after four witnesses implicated him of the crime.

The court heard that the six-year-old girl was killed in April 2019 at their rented house in London Estate of Narok County while trying to cool a fight between the convict and his father Edgar Bondo.

The court heard that the small girl found Kinoti having stabbed his father in the face and tried to intervene when she was accidentally stabbed in the neck and died on the spot.

A post-mortem report carried out on the girl’s body showed that the girl died out of excessive bleeding from the neck.

While reading his judgment, Justice Gikonyo said there was enough evidence to prove that the young man had stabbed to death the young girl.

However, despite being found guilty, Kinoti will remain in police custody until October 18, 2021, when he will present his mitigation before the court and final verdict read.
