Police in Naivasha is investigating an incident in which a 30-year-old woman was found dead in her house moments after hosting her lover.

The body of the mother of three was found in her house in Kabati estate with several used condoms in the room.

It’s suspected that the lover who has since gone missing had a hand in the death of the woman as police moved in to seek him after the incident.

According to a neighbour Jessica Njeri, the deceased had been spotted in one of the bars in the area on Sunday night before retreating to the house with the man.

She said that it was not clear what happened but the naked and lifeless body was discovered on Monday morning by the neighbours.

“The door had been locked from the outside and on checking we found her dead before calling the police who have since collected the body,” he said.

Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed both incidents adding that the bodies had been collected and taken to the local mortuary.

He said that they were seeking the man last seen in the woman’s house in Naivasha while they had collected fingerprints in the suspected suicide case.

“We have opened inquest files in the case and we have launched a manhunt for the suspect in the case where a woman was found dead in Naivasha town,” he said.
