Diamond Platnumz has narrated the struggles he went through just because of love. And it's not Zari's love he's on about.

Well, just before he released his first song in 2009, the Bongo star was dating 'a very beautiful' girl who eventually left him because he didn't have the dough.

Talking to WKYS, Naseeb Abdul Juma, his real name, says he broke down after he discovered she had found another man who had the mullah.

"I had a girlfriend and we had dated for a year. She was beautiful and I had nothing at that time. She started changing and found another person who gave her more money."

Adding:

"She came straight to me, to my face and told me, she couldn't be with a person who couldn't manage himself. I cried. She made me write my first song Nenda Kamwambie. After dropping that song, it became a hit."

After releasing his first single, Nenda Kamwambie, the chick came back begging for Diamond's attention.

"After that she started calling me telling me how she loved me, that it wasn't her, it was just life."

Since Diamond went global, he has dated a couple of celebrities, among them Wema Sepetu, Zari Hassan, Hamisa Mobetto and has been linked to other women whom he has never admitted to dating.
