Kenyans thronged the stadium as early as 5:00 am to bid farewell to the second president who ruled for 24 years.

The casket carrying Moi's body was draped in the flag under escort on a gun carriage to the stadium and arrived around 10:30, a few minutes after President Uhuru arrived at the venue.

President Uhuru was dressed in a grey designer suit and had a flower similar to that which Moi used to wear. First lady Margaret Kenyatta wore a long black dress, a brown turban, and a long black and brown Maasai necklace.

According to sources, Uhuru's designer suit costs nothing less than a million same to the ones Moi was dressed in during the three days he was lying-in-state
